We’re delighted to announce our 2025–2026 season! This year, we continue our commitment to telling stories that invite reflection, connection, and hopeful change. These plays focus on what is shared between us as human beings, rather than what divides us, and each story is based on actual lived experience.
Our season brings four inspiring productions, presented in collaboration with trusted partners and communities across the prairies. With each play next season we will take you on a character’s thrilling journey of the heart. You'll walk in their shoes as they quest to make sense of what they’ve inherited from their family, their culture, and from the world around us, as they chart new, beautiful paths into the future.
Suitcase Stories
created & performed by Maki Yi*
One newcomer to SK, one carry-on, one epic search for freedom.
February 25 - March 1, 2026 in Saskatoon
(Venue details & tickets coming soon)
*featured in Kim's Convenience national tour
With only her tiny suitcase in tow, Maki Yi leaves her home in South Korea and winds up in Regina. She finds that her new life in Canada is both everything she hoped for and the most difficult thing she has ever faced. A ludicrous and vulnerable real-life tale of survival and self-discovery.
"Sometimes, when you see a show, you know that an artist is offering you a personal gift... I’m glad we have this artist among us." - Colin Thomas, Vancouver
"Yi’s writing is beautifully crafted as she details her numerous cultural collisions, she is a lively and engaging storyteller with many moods: ebullient when she discovers acting, scandalized when she sees a couple making out at the Greyhound station, depressed when her application for immigration is refused." - Kathleen Oliver, The Georgia Straight
