(playwright: The Yard With the Old Plow)
Shanda Stefanson is a poet, spoken word artist and playwright. Her writing is intimate and personal, often exploring her relationships with feminism, grief, and mental illness. She dabbles in visual art, crafts, and music to entice her creative practice, and is always looking for new ways to express herself. Some of her most proud accomplishments include opening for Shane Koyzan at the Broadway Theatre in 2016, being on the winning team at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in 2015, and being invited to write for Sum Theatre’s “Last Sunday” three times. Shanda lives in Saskatoon with her husband and one very demanding cat.
