Text image that reads "Farewell to staff members Ed Mendez and Rebecca Spilchak, we will miss working with you!" and photos of them both.

We are saddened to announce the departures of Ed Mendez, our general manager, and Rebecca Spilchak, our community engagement associate, as they transitioned into other work this summer. Each of them brought a wealth of skills, experience and energy to our staff team. They will be dearly missed.

As our GM, Ed accomplished much in his two years with Burnt Thicket. We are grateful for all of his contributions, especially in widening our circle of funding partners and refining many of our administrative operations processes (project management, season budgeting, and contracting, to name a few).

Rebecca brought a vibrant and creative presence to BTT's social media this past season, broadened our network of community-based organizations, and grew our audience connections through email, media releases, newsletters, and personal contact.

Ed is moving into full time arts administration work as Interim General Manager of GTNT. We send a big congratulations to Rebecca on graduating with a BFA in theatre from USask in June. Much of Rebecca's summer was spent working full time with 25th Street Theatre at the Saskatoon Fringe.

We sending a a huge shout out of thanks to Ed and Rebecca, and we wish each of them all the best with their new endeavours! We also look forward to working with them in other capacities, as artists in future productions and as arts administrators with our fellow theatre companies in Saskatoon.
