In a tiny concrete room a women’s prison nurse gives palliative care to a spirited inmate with cancer and a life sentence. Both have lived with the trauma of rejection; now the inmate’s soulful songs and demands to be known expose wounds which this non-binary nurse buried years ago. 

Past and present collide as the two wrestle with questions of belonging, death, and grace – but what will they find in each other?

Contains coarse language, mature themes including discussions of violence, religious trauma, gender-based discrimination and racism. Recommended for ages 16+.
