Carol Greyeyes is delighted to be collaborating with folks for Burnt Thicket’s audio drama series WE TREATY PEOPLE. Because we are ALL treaty people!  Carol is an actor, writer, and educator. She was the former artistic director of the Centre for Indigenous Theatre and founding principal of the Indigenous Theatre School in Toronto, Canada. Carol holds a BFA and BED from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA from York University. She has worked as a junior story editor for North of 60 and written for radio and series television with CBC, TVO, Global, APTN, SCN.  She has directed and taught in theatres all over Canada and the USA and acted in film, television, radio, and on the stage. In theatre, Carol has been nominated for Dora Mavor Moore Awards and won SATAwards in the Best Actor category. More recently, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Drama and the founding coordinator of the wîchêhtowin: Aboriginal Theatre Program in addition to maintaining her professional theatre career.
